Hi, I'm Mickey Harrington
Dynamite comes in small packages! Mickey’s proactive approach to dealing with any challenge continuously benefits her clients. She has an extensive real estate knowledge base and experience in the Iowa Great Lakes market. Mickey joined Okoboji Realty in 2013 after spending 10 years in mortgage lending – years that have proven helpful when tracking real estate market trends. Mickey’s persistence, attention to detail, and powerful ability to problem solve situations are invaluable to the team. Mickey enjoys getting to know her clients and building long-lasting friendships!
When she isn’t connecting buyers and sellers, Mickey and her husband, Jason, can be found on the lake enjoying family time with their two children and volunteering their time in the community. As empty-nesters, you will see them on the road when time allows, visiting their son (Alec) at Creighton University or their daughter (Brooke) at the University of Northern Iowa. Mickey and Jason came to the Lakes area as children themselves and returned to raise their family here. They continue to enjoy this great area and all its opportunities, and they are excited to share that experience with others.
In the community, Mickey volunteers with the Dickinson County Trails, Indian Athletic Booster Club, YMCA, Parents in Education, Meals on Wheels, Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, and Spirit Lake schools. In 2020, Mickey was awarded REALTOR® of the Year by the Iowa Great Lakes Board of REALTORS®. This honor acknowledges an ethical and civic-minded professional whose efforts have enhanced the REALTOR® organization, the ability of real estate professionals to serve consumers, and the quality of life for members of the community. Mickey currently serves on the board leading the education committee, and previously served as co-chair of the RPAC legislative committee and member of the finance and consumer outreach committees.
Mickey has received the Diamond Achievement Award from the Iowa Association of REALTORS® five times, in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, and 2013, in recognition of over $10 million in sales. She earned the Platinum Achievement Award in 2016 and 2014 for $7.5-9.99 million in sales. The achievement award program was discontinued after 2019.
